I am in 8th grade. I enjoy acting in home movies, listening to music, and being goofy. 

One of my favorite books I’ve read for school is Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. 

One of my favorite books I’ve read outside of school is Call it Courage by Armstrong Sperry.

    The shadowy clouds filled the red sky. The small children danced around a giant yew tree that made a figure of a man holing a staff with its shadow. They screamed some words that were dark and dim at a painful high pitch. The tree's shadow was deep black with small tips of light shining through the leafless branches. The boys stopped their horrid chant and sat down in the safe shadow of the yew tree. 

    The youngest of the boys stepped forward and faced the crowd. "It is time we move to the shadow land. The Great First One has told me." No one questioned the boy, they just sat up, stared ahead, and followed him.
